Exterminators armed with poison are looking for rat holes in nearly a dozen neighborhoods in Dundalk, Essex and Middle River in response to a prolonged campaign by citizens asking for more county help to win the war against rats. Last week, exterminators under contract with the county were scheduled to target Eastfield-Stanbrook, Logan Village, North Point Village and Colgate in Dundalk, Foxcroft in Essex and Hawthorne and Middlesex in Middle River, said Lionel van Dommelen, who heads the county's Code Enforcement division and rat control program.
