Bethlehem Chief Engineer, Julian Spencer, takes an early retirement after years of service, known most for his involvement in making improvements to the Sparrows Point plant. Ten residents of Dundalk were selected for an award of free shampoos and sets from local salon owners and a month of free Karate lessons from the Tiger Dragon Karate school, for correctly identifying Mystery Beauty Lucille Bledsoe.
