Marlon Humphrey's Lawyer: CB Has '11 Million Reasons' Not to Steal Phone Charger
An attorney for Baltimore Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey said Thursday allegations his client tried to steal a phone charger from an Uber driver are "not true."
Edward Lee and Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun passed along comments from Paul Patterson, who argued "Marlon has 11 million reasons not to steal a … phone charger," referring to the cornerback's four-year, $11.8 million contract with the Ravens.
"Marlon has not had an opportunity to tell his side of the story," he said. "The Uber driver makes a lot of allegations in that report that simply are not true. Fortunately for Marlon, we have eyewitnesses who are willing to testify about what accurately transpired between Marlon and the Uber driver."

Report: Josh Allen Will Interest Ravens If Available at No. 16 in 2018 NFL Draft
The Baltimore Ravens reportedly have their eyes on a potential quarterback of the future.
On Thursday, Benjamin Allbright of 104.7 FM in Denver reported the Ravens "would be interested" in using their No. 16 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft to select Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen if he was available.
That Baltimore would be interested in a quarterback in the first round is notable considering Joe Flacco has been the franchise signal-caller since the team drafted him 18th overall in 2008. The Delaware product has played all 16 games in nine of the last 10 seasons, topping 3,000 passing yards eight times.
He also led the Ravens to the Super Bowl XLVII title during the 2012 season but saw a drop in his production from 2016 to 2017.
He threw for a career-best 4,317 yards with 20 touchdowns and 15 picks in 2016 but finished with 3,141 passing yards, 18 touchdown throws and 13 interceptions last season as the Ravens missed the playoffs for the third straight year.
It would also be notable if Allen fell to No. 16 considering Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller called him the best quarterback behind UCLA's Josh Rosen and USC's Sam Darnold while projecting him to the New York Jets with the sixth pick.
Allen threw for 1,812 yards, 16 touchdowns and six picks in 2017 but tallied 3,203 passing yards and 28 touchdowns through the air the previous year.
He could provide a much-needed boost to a Ravens offense that finished a mere 29th in the league in passing yards in 2017.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey Arrested on 3rd-Degree Robbery Charge
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey was arrested in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and charged with third-degree felony robbery on Thursday, according to Michael Casagrande of AL.com.
According to the police report provided by Stephanie Taylor of the Tuscaloosa News, Humphrey was a passenger in an Uber and asked to borrow the driver's phone charger. Humphrey allegedly refused to return the charger and elbowed the driver in the side.
Per that report, third-degree robbery in Alabama is classified as follows:
"He/she uses force against the person of the owner of the property or any person present with intent to overcome that person's physical resistance or physical power of resistance; or (2) he/she threatens the imminent use of force against the person of the owner of the property or any person present with intent to compel acquiescence to the taking of or escaping with the property."
Bond for Humphrey was set at $2,500, according to Charlie Potter of 247Sports. Taylor posted Humphrey's mugshot:
Humphrey attended Alabama as a cornerback for the Crimson Tide. As a rookie for the Baltimore Ravens in 2017, he registered 34 tackles and two interceptions in 16 games.

Ravens Trade Rumors: Jarvis Landry Talks Held with Dolphins Last Offseason
The Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins reportedly held trade talks regarding wide receiver Jarvis Landry last offseason, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, but the Ravens "found the asking price to be prohibitive."
Baltimore's prior interest in Landry doesn't mean they'll go all-in on the player in free agency, however, though it's likely they'll at least touch base with him.
Zrebiec noted: "Frankly, I cannot imagine the cash-strapped Ravens paying north of $13 million per year for Landry, but they do like the player and they seem to understand that they need to do something significant to get more offensive talent on the field."
Landry and his agent, Damarius Bilbo, appear intent on courting a contract in that price range. Bilbo made it clear Landry wouldn't take a discount to remain with the Dolphins, per Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post:
"How long has this franchise been around? It's always going to be here. Take a discount? Absolutely not. This may be Jarvis' first and last time to set himself up and his family up. He needs to strike and strike while the iron is hot. Plenty of guys that were drafted ahead of Jarvis have not performed to his level. Look at Jarvis' performance level. If you want to compare him to the T.Y. Hiltons and the Doug Baldwins, those deals were done two or three years ago. It's his time now. He's next man up."
Bilbo also cited Davante Adams when discussing the potential market for Landry.
Hilton makes $13 million per year, Baldwin is at $11.5 million and Adams just signed a four-year, $58 million deal that will pay him $14.5 million per season.
Landry, 25, is coming off an excellent season that saw him catch 112 passes for 987 yards and nine touchdowns. He's now caught at least 84 passes in all four of his seasons and has registered over 1,000 receiving yards twice.
His touchdown production and red-zone presence in 2017 signified a major step forward for Landry, who scored a total of 13 touchdowns in his first three seasons. That will make him one of the top options in a wide receiver class that was weakened by Adams' extension with Green Bay and also includes Sammy Watkins and Allen Robinson.
Dolphins vice president Mike Tannenbaum said the team would like to keep Landry but wouldn't commit further than that.
"Any negotiation we wouldn't comment publicly, but philosophically we want to draft, develop and keep as many of our own as possible," he said earlier in January, per Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post. "We'll see what happens with Jarvis and a few other noteworthy free agents. In a perfect world, we keep them all. There's a salary cap, so we'll make those decisions at the appropriate time within the context of what's best for the organization."
As for the Ravens, the team needs to upgrade at wide receiver. Mike Wallace led Baltimore in receiving yards (748), tight end Benjamin Watson topped the team in receptions (61) and the pair tied for the lead in receiving scores (four).
Quarterback Joe Flacco needs weapons, but it remains to be seen if the Ravens are willing to pay top market value for Landry, which is clearly the receiver's expectation.

Reader concerns over residential truck traffic
Lately, there has been a lot of traffic traveling through residential areas from the Port of Baltimore. I understood that there was to be no traffic over 3/4 ton on Belclare, Dunmanway, Sollers Point Road, Holabird Avenue or Dundalk Aveue.

Terrell Suggs Says He'll Return to Ravens, Plans to Play 'A Few More Years'
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs made it clear after Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals that he has no plans to retire.
When asked about his future, the 35-year-old said the following, according to Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun: "I plan on playing football for a few more years. ... My body isn't what is hurting right now. I plan on playing football next year and years to come."
Sunday's heartbreaking loss to Cincinnati coupled with the Buffalo Bills' win over the Miami Dolphins caused the Ravens to miss the playoffs.
His current contract runs through 2018, per Spotrac.
Suggs is coming off one of the best years of his career, tallying 11 sacks to lead a stout Ravens defense. His play was enough to earn his seventh Pro Bowl appearance, his first since 2013.
He was named the team's MVP at the end of the season, the first time he earned that honor in his career.
Despite getting up there in age, he remains focused on competing. He apparently didn't even consider retirement following last season.
"I know I'm not 26, but I'm not 40 either," he said in December 2016, per Lee. "I like to play football."
Suggs will now get a chance to build on what has already been a successful career.
The 2003 first-round pick out of Arizona State has 125.5 career sacks, good enough for 17th in NFL history. He was the 2003 Defensive Rookie of the Year, 2011 Defensive Player of the Year and was a key part of the team's win in Super Bowl XLVII following the 2012 season.
It's amazing to think what he could have done without two torn Achilles tendons, injuring his right one in 2012 and his left one in 2015.
While he could someday earn a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he will remain a force in the Ravens pass rush. With young players like Matt Judon and Tyus Bowser also improving, the team can focus on filling other positions around the field.

Dean Pees Retires as Ravens DC After 6 Seasons
Following Sunday's season-ending 31-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport he's retiring after six years with the team.
Rapoport added that Don Martindale, Baltimore's linebackers coach, will get a "strong look" to take over.
