On April 21, more than 150 volunteers with Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Community Cleanups gathered to enjoy the beautiful weather as they cleaned up trash and debris at Bear Creek Park and along the shoreline in celebration of Earth Day. Volunteers nearly filled a 40-yard dumpster with more than four tons of trash and debris removed from the historic stream, as well as the grounds of Bear Creek Elementary School, General John Stricker Middle School, Charlesmont Elementary School and Charlesmont Park.
