Harbaugh Downplays Scuffle

Monday, Aug. 1

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh didn't think the confrontation between Pitta and Correa was a major concern.

"Pitta sprains his finger in some kind of little scuffle, and I will say 'little scuffle' with an exclamation point," Harbaugh told reporters. "He will laugh about that tomorrow when he reads this. I do like the competitiveness. I like the fact that Pitta is out here making plays and he's blocking people and he's getting after it."

ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley reported that the Ravens had three fights during Monday night's practice.

According to the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec, Pitta said he and Correa have already worked things out.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco couldn't help but get a dig in on Pitta, joking that "at least he didn't break his hip," per Lourim. The 31-year-old Pitta missed the 2015 season while recuperating from hip surgery.

A healthy and productive Pitta would be a nice luxury for Baltimore. Crockett Gillmore caught 33 passes for 412 yards and four touchdowns last year, while Maxx Williams should have a bigger role in his second season. Add Pitta to the mix, and the Ravens would have a deep group of talented tight ends.
