So when he got the call that he had been selected as this year's Dundalk Citizen of the Year, it was - to say the least - unexpected. A longtime resident of Dundalk, Alan recalls the phone conversation he had with Bob Crandell, coordinator of the Optimist Club of Dundalk's Citizen and Humanitarian of the Year awards.
