Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta suffered another hip injury during organized team activities on Friday.
Per a statement from Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome, Pitta is "undergoing tests to determine the severity" of the injury.
ESPN's Adam Schefter noted the "fear" in Baltimore is Pitta fractured and dislocated his hip again, which would likely end his career.
From 2013 to 2015, Pitta played a total of seven games due to hip injuries. He originally fractured the hip in July 2013 after colliding with teammate James Ihedigbo during practice.
After playing three games in 2014, Pitta dislocated the same hip against the Cleveland Browns and was shut down the rest of the season.
Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reported in November 2015 Pitta's career could be over due to the lingering hip problems, but he made it back on the field last season. He appeared in all 16 games, setting career highs with 86 receptions and 729 receiving yards.
