A man and woman were at a gas station at the intersection of Merritt Boulevard and German Hill Road at about 7:30 a.m., when another person approached them and there was "some sort of an exchange," said Officer Jen Peach, a police spokeswoman. The third person pulled out a gun and fired on the man and woman.
